PROPERTIES available for rent to veterans and their families are located conveniently in the Village of Ballston Spa and the Town of Wilton.
The New York State Department of Social Service’s Homeless Housing and Assistance Program provided construction funding for an eight apartment complex in the Town of Wilton. Occupancy began in January 1991 and houses veterans and their families. This program targets veterans who are homeless, about to be homeless or living in substandard shelters. The program named Curr-Ahee (an American Indian slogan meaning “Stands Alone ” that has been used by the 101st airborne since World War II) is the first of its kind in the country. We constructed four additional units in 1997.
Veteran Apartments at Northern Pines is a complex of 12 apartments for formerly homeless veterans and
their families located in the Town of Wilton.
This two-family home was purchased in 2004 through a grant from the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Continuum of Care program. This apartment is specifically rented to formerly homeless disabled veterans and their families.
Center Street consists of two three bedroom apartments for disabled veterans and their families located in the Village of Ballston Spa, NY
